The Little Explorers Management Committee

Little Explorers is a registered charity, overseen by a voluntary Management Committee. Committee members generously give their time and expertise to help guide the future of Little Explorers and ensure it remains a thriving part of our community.

The Committee is responsible for:

• Governance and legal compliance

• Financial oversight and fundraising

• Supporting the nursery's long-term sustainability

• Ensuring we continue to meet the needs of local children and families

​

While the Committee provides strategic oversight, the day-to-day running of the nursery is led by our Manager, Laura, and her dedicated team.

 

 

Fundraising & Community Support

​

Fundraising helps us enhance the opportunities, resources and experiences available to children at Little Explorers. Throughout the year, the Committee supports a range of fundraising events and community activities, with proceeds helping to fund equipment, resources and improvements beyond our core budget.

We welcome new ideas and support from parents, families and the wider community. Whether you can help regularly or occasionally, we'd love to hear from you.

Nicola Read - Chair of the Management Committee

 

Hello, I'm Nicola and I am proud to serve as Chair of the Little Explorers Management Committee.

​

As a parent with a child at Little Explorers and a resident of Ditton Priors since 2018, I've seen first-hand the positive difference the nursery makes to local children and families. In my professional life, I work in customer experience within the financial services industry.

​

I work closely with the Committee, Laura and the nursery team to help support the nursery's future and help Little Explorers continue to thrive. I'm particularly passionate about community engagement, fundraising, and creating great opportunities for our children.
